car dies
Guys my 240 stumbles and dies when I sit at a light or even stop sign if anyone has any guess's throw em my way

mrphotoman- 03-01-2007

Just throwing a guess out there, vacuum leak?

Impact240sx- 03-01-2007

Yea maybe a vacuum leak like tim said, or maybe the maf, had the problem with my old 240.

I've got a spare MAF here if you want to try it. You can spray down the intake with ether or brake cleaner to check for a vacuum leak. KA24's are bad about it. Its not the most fun job in the world to replace it either.

cool elswick give me a yell sat evening some time it didnt do it all today so i have no damn clue

GuttedSRT- 03-04-2007

This might not be your problem, but I've heard of cars stumbling and shutting off bc they are out of gas. A vac leak caused it to happen to me before.

do you have to keep your foot on the gas to keep it running? if thats the case i would guess, throttle position sensor. vacuum leak could be it or maybe fuel pump is starting go. just a thought.

na full tank of gas and when it acts up i do double foot it to keep it running going to order a walbro fuel pump and new injectors go ahead and upgrade some shit
