diablosport predator problem
My predator says "Unable to read vehicle type" when I plug it in. I have used it several times with no problems. Anyone have any ideas on what may be causing this?

I believe my diablo says that on unsupported vehicles. If I plug mine into a srt it says that. Do you still have a tune installed in the car right now?

I'm beginning to wonder if I have a tune at all. I just noticed that when the key is turned on (not started) the radiator fan runs, I don't recall it doing that before. and no mileage shows on th odometer. I also seem to have no fuel pressure.

My fans runs with the key on the first time I try to start it after I modify my tune. As for the odo does it show the mileage when started? Or can you start it?

No, The Odometer just shows ---------- when the key is turned on. The car won't start from lack of tune which is being written as we speak. I just don't think I can install it now. I've fucked something up with the predator.

I've fucked something up with the predator. The only thing I know would cause you to have no tune is to unplug it while it is writing to the computer. So you are installing a tune and then this? And you are still waiting for it to finish writing? That really sucks if it smoked your computer. If your factory tune is gone you may have to tow it to a dealership to have the factory tune reinstalled. :x

There is a way to see if the stock tune is still in the programmer. Its on the first or second section before you go into modify a tune. Maybe under options or something like that. Have you tried to reinstall the stock tune, then reinstall the mod tune? Also did you dload a custom tune from diablo?

Yep, I was told at the Ford service center that ------ on the Odometer meant the ECU was history. I'm looking for a new one right now. Ford wants over $500.00 for one. I wil not be using th Diablosport predator on it. I'm gonna get something different.

Ok, Ford was wrong. There is a force option in the predator that will allow you to force your original tune into the car in the event the handheld does not recognize it. You have to call diablosport to get a passcode to load it. What a relief, shewww
