Suds up Top I changed my oil today and I noticed that were it leaks out usually was light brown. I thought, oh crap, I've blown a head gasket. Then I looked and the back of the motor was the same way. When I changed the oil, it didn't look light brown though. The coolent did, but it's mixed coolent, so it could be just that. I did notice a little bit of suds in the oil, but not strait out the bottem. The suds didn't come till the oil was almost completely drained. What do you guys think this is? What I'm hoping is that the oil is just mixing with water outside the motor and the suds aren't that big of a deal at the end. I baby my car, but I beat on it every now and then. Runs very smooth.

I'm replacing the head gasket, and if that doesn't stop it, I'm putting new rings in. I can't believe no one said anything.

Would you rather people said something that didn't know wtf they were talking about? Sounds like a bad windshield wiper to me.

I'm not positive it's the head gasket. I changed the oil on Thursday, and by Saturday I was a quart low on oil. Car has lost a lot of power too. It still doesn't smoke, so I'm thinking it is leaking instead of eating it. I need to get the motor out to check really. It has 155k on it, and I kind of run it hard every now and then. Things seem to point to HG to me. Its 13 years old too, so it definitely needs the valves adjusted and the head most likely needs cleaned up. So, I can get a few birds with one stone if this is the problem. Also, were it is leaking, I've been told is the most common place for the HG to go on the 5SFE motor, that I have. I've replaced every gasket around the area except the HG because it's a bigger job than the rest.

I thought with all the people on here, someone would know. There are alot of nicely built cars on here for there to be no decent machanics.

what a doofus......i would think everyone knows there is no such thing as blinker fluid. but you may want to change your muffler bearings or the canuder vavle. those may be the problems

There are some things that just aren't worth fixing.
Why is everyone giving me a hard time now? Is this a stupid question, or have there not been many threads to let loose on poeple lately? I haven't spent as much time here in the past couple weeks, so I haven't seen the activity.

Don't take it personally we're just having fun at your expense.

^^I had a feeling that might start something. I really was surprised that no one said anything though. There are a lot of smart guys on here, no women though, of course. I just figured someone could give me an actual opinion or some real help. I'm pretty sure I know what I'm doing at this point though, as long as someone doesn't post good evidence that I could be wrong.

I didn't see it until today.
