Turbo or All Motor
After next week I get to start working on my hatch again. I just got my swap complete. (JDM H22a for those who don't kno) I can't decide if i wanna go motor or boosted. Motor- h22 is a good platform to go with, The sound of a built Honda is cool, and torque is ungodly. Still have the Vtec sound.I don't wanna strip interior so 12's is about the end of the line with an all motor street car! Boosted-The feel of Boost, The sound, I won't be able to go internal until winter time, so 8lb of boost at the most, After the build i'll be hoping for the 11' or 10 sec range.. What way should i do it, I'm leaning toward boosting it cause it'll be alot faster, but an h-series is a better motor set up!!

boost is good. i have a boosted h22. Only problem with the motors, they are expensive to rebuild. You pretty much have to re-sleeve them. Well you don't have to but it is very highly recommended. I'm running about 6psi on mine and it scoots nicely on a eBay turbo kit.

I say go all motor if you don't wanna spend all your time messing with crap and trying to fix things. No offense to you honda guys but I don't see many reliable turbo hondas (especially at the track).

If you think you feel torque now :lol:, then with boost you will shit your pants. A 4cyl needs boost IMHO. Gotta make up for lack of cubes. Also, on the motor (out of boost) it can be tuned more conservatively so that you will have great street manners and won't have the crank the eyes out of it to get any power.

If you want to stay reliable and not much alot of power then why are you modding your car??? Boost the damn thing. Cars are ment to be down all the time for repairs ask my dsm lol.

All in all your gonna spend more money all motor to run as fast as you could with a basic turbo kit. Boost it an you will never look back.
