Video Questions
Ok guys, I have a Sony video camera. It's not digital its HI-8 and I was wondering if you could tell me the best ways to get the vid from my camera to my computer. Would one of those video things at Best Buy or Circuit City work? I mean they cost like $100 and im not all about that...so if anyone has any other ideas that would be awesome!! -Mike

Do it have any video output? If so all you need is a capture card...

how much does a capture card run? i do have a vid/aud output...though i have to find the cable

I'm pretty sure you can pick one up for under 100 bucks. Wait until you find your cable so you know what type of card you will need (probably will use RCA or Svideo)

Hey, I just bought an ADS Tech Video Express recently, and it's awesome. It's just this little thing that you plug either RCA or S-Video cables into it, and it plugs right into your computer's USB drive. It came with software for video editing and capturing, so once you get your videos on the compuetr you can add music to them if you like. It was something around $50.00. If you want I can try to find more stuff about it or tell you whatever, just let me know.
